Mid-Senior Full Stack Engineer (Part-Time Contractor, 20 hrs/week)

Our platform simplifies every aspect of vehicle ownership, empowering users with the insights and tools they need to make informed decisions.
We are looking for a mid-senior level Full Stack Engineer to join our team as a part-time contractor (up to 20 hours per week). You’ll be working directly with our CTO to build and refine our platform. This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is comfortable collaborating in daily syncs and feature refinement sessions.
What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain features in our Next.js 14 application.
Work with Inngest (or similar event-driven architectures) to build scalable workflows.
Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code across the stack.
Optimize performance and ensure high reliability across the platform.
Participate in daily syncs and feature refinement sessions to align on priorities.
Collaborate closely with the CTO to rapidly iterate and deploy new features.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
Strong proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript.
Experience with event-driven architectures (Inngest preferred, but similar tools like AWS are a plus).
Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, Prisma, or similar ORM tools).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
Availability for daily check-ins and team collaboration.
Nice to Have
Experience with Turborepo and monorepo architectures.
Familiarity with Auth.js (Auth0) for authentication.
Knowledge of background job processing in Next.js apps.
Compensation & Details
Hourly Rate: Negotiable
Contractor Role: 20 hours per week (maximum).
Remote: Work from anywhere, but availability for syncs is required.
